Ten month position from September through June. Weekly ranging from 10 -15 hours.

SALARY: $12,000 - $15,000 depending on experience

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Director of Christian Education (DCE)

• over sees all children and youth education activities
• recruits, trains, and coordinates lay member volunteers
• serves as a resource for children and youth activities
• nurtures the spiritual formation of the children and youth in accordance with our mission statement.
• promotes growing lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ, building relationships, helping children and youth discover God’s message for them, and empowering them to make a difference in the world.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ideally the individual should possess training in education or Christian Education.
• Experience working with children and youth education in a Christian setting.
• This individual does not need to be a member of the Congregational Community Church but must be willing to affirm United Church of Church faith traditions.
